Prof. Viney Gupta is Professor of Ophthalmology, Glaucoma Services of Dr Rajendra Prasad Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences ,All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi.

• Special interest: Congenital glaucomas, juvenile glaucomas, surgical glaucoma and glaucoma genetics.
• Did Glaucoma Fellowship at Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital (Australia)( 2007-2008).
• Has more than 170 indexed publications in Glaucoma in peer reviewed journals.
• Author of 2 books one on Ocular Therapeutics and the other on Glaucoma management as part of the initiative of the Glaucoma Society of India
• Spearheading Glaucoma genetic Projects esp genetics of Juvenile open angle glaucoma.
• Special honors: Awarded AC Agarwal Trophy for best free paper at Delhi Ophthalmological Society Meeting (2004).
  • Awarded second prize for best poster at Annual Meeting of European Glaucoma Society, Florence, Italy (2004)
  • Awarded best Clinical Research paper at AIIMS ( 2015)
  • Examiner for Post graduates for the University of Malaysia
• Has mentored post graduate thesis in Glaucoma of more than 55 students.

Joint Organising Secretary, Annual Conference of Delhi Ophthlamological Society (2004).

Started the Indian Pediatric glaucoma Society and is the President and founding member of the Society.
